The answer in brief

To choose a new network or agency, compare your current situation with the proposed offers on the same criteria: full fees, remuneration, tools, support and daily organisation. Ask for written material and a demonstration. The best choice depends on your professional needs, not just the percentage of commission posted.

1. What motivates your change?

Before contacting another network, identify what limits your activity: difficult to reach support, inadequate tools, cost of services, lack of training or need to work otherwise. Retain three priority expectations. This will make it possible to distinguish an attractive offer from a concrete response to your situation.

Ask yourself this question: "What should be different in my daily life three months after my arrival?" Note observable elements, such as a follow-up appointment, specific training or a management tool that you will actually use.

2. What can be compared beyond the commission rate?

CriteriaQuestion to askElement to be obtained
CostsWhat fees are fixed, by sale or optional?A full and dated fee schedule.
EarningsWhat conditions apply to advertised levels?A simulation on the same activity hypothesis.
ToolsWhich services are included and which require an extra charge?A demonstration of software and dissemination.
AccompanyingWho answers my questions and how is the follow-up going? The name of the contact person and a concrete organization.
TrainingWhat trainings meet my current needs? The program, modalities and next dates.
TransitionWhat points of my current contract do I need to clarify before deciding? The written documents and answers relating to my situation.

To study iad, see also our compensation guide and ask for the contractual conditions in force. The assumptions of a simulation do not constitute a forecast of revenues.

3. How to assess the support of a sponsor or manager?

Ask how the first week goes, then the first month. Who helps you take control of the tools? How to request an opinion on a file? What exchanges are planned between counsellors? A precise answer helps you more than a general promise of availability.

4. Do you have to take over all the training when you're experienced?

Your experience should serve as a starting point for the exchange. List the skills already mastered and those to be strengthened: prospecting, estimation, negotiation, tools or team animation. Then ask for the proposed route, without assuming any exemptions.

5. How to prepare for the transition?

Before you set a date, bring together your current contract, your amendments, the list of your current files and the terms of the proposed network. Provide written information on the issues of departure, compensation for ongoing files and data usage. This guide does not determine your contractual rights: these points require examination of your documents and, if necessary, appropriate legal advice.

Then prepare for your new tools, training schedule and business organization. Do not consider any transfer of mandate, file or commission as acquired without prior verification.
